The Saracen's Head logo Details for the 2014 season

The 2014 season of the Warburton Souling Play has been and gone - all very sad really.
As usual it started at the Saracen's Head in Warburton on Saturday the 1st November.  We performing for a total of 6 nights this year, the others being Tuesday 4th Wednesday 5th, Thursday 6th, Friday 7th and finally Saturday 8th November. This last 'night' was in fact our usual day of Souling starting in the afternoon at the Warburton Autumn Fair at St Werburgh's Church on Bent Lane in Warburton and finishing with the last performance of the year followed by an
evening of singing and music in the Saracen's Head

The charity this year was one again Cotebrook House on Oughtrington Lane in Lymm where this year we were able to make a donation of £1,200. This is a home for physically disabled adults that we have supported for a number of years now, it almost
being our 'adopted' charity together with the Trafford Branch of MS as we collected for in 2012.

On the 25th November 2014 we paid them a visit to make a presentation of the collected funds. There are a few pictures of the event in the relevant Gallery page.

As well as Warburton we also covered a large portion of the surrounding area such as Urmston, Lymm, Altrincham and Hale. All the locations are on the Itinerary page and a few pictures are available in the Gallery (link above).

Last year we were plagued by an outbreak of flu amongst the gang that at one point was looking like jeopardising us being able to go out. This year apart form the usual cold in the weeks running up to the start we were thankfully clear of worse ailments after the majority of the Gang members had flu jabs!
