The Saracen's Head logo Details for the 2013 season

The 2013 season of the Warburton Souling Play has now been and gone. Staring on the Friday the 1st November at the Saracen's Head in Warburton, we performed for 6 nights in total this year with the others being Saturday 2nd, Wednesday 6th, Thursday 7th, Friday 8th and finally Saturday 9th November.

The charity this year was Cotebrook House on Oughtrington Lane in Lymm. This is a home for physically disabled adults that we have supported for a number of years now, it almost
being our 'adopted' charity together with the Trafford Branch of MS as we collected for last year.

As a result of the collections we were able to present Cotebrook House , or rather The Cotobrook House Residents Assocation with a cheque for £1,300. This together with another donation, enabled them to build a patio area in time to enjoy the summer sunshine. See the presentation page in the  Gallery for more.

The places where we went this year can be found on our Itinerary page. We covered a large area surrounding Warburton, some say quite a bit beyond really, before finishing up once again at the Saracen's Head for the usual all day affair starting with a performance at the Autumn Fair in Warburton Church in the afternoon. We had hoped to performance for the residents of Cotebrook House in the afternoon, however as most of us had been, or still were, the subject of a cold or flu outbreak we had to cancel the visit. As usual we finished with the usual evening of music and singing in the Saracen's Head.
